METHODOLOGY
Balanced, Freedom through Obedience.
Balanced training utilizes principles of positive and negative consequences that are appropriate for the moment. We use praise, food, treats, and toys for rewards and motivation, and take the time to see which is the most valuable to your dog to get the fastest response. Just as your dog chooses their reward they also choose their correction which will typically be the withholding of rewards and a leash correction.

Our goal is not only to create clear communication between owner and dog but to better the relationship you have with your pet and ensure they are living a fulfilled life. In order to do this each dog that trains with Buddy's Place Canine Behavior is going to get a customized approach aimed at teaching obedience, boundaries, and correcting problem behaviors.

SARAH STAUFFER
Certified Dog Training and Animal Behavior Specialist
I named Buddy's Place Canine Behavior after my childhood dog Buddy, he was the first and only dog that we'd ever had professionally trained. I've been training our household pets ever since, I have worked with all kinds of creatures from Hamsters to Mini Horses all my life and though I love them all dogs sparked my passion.
That spark led me to Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers where I learned hands on about many training techniques, behavior issues and how to address them, dog sports and so much more. School was just the start of my unending quest for knowledge on canine obedience, behavior, and health.
I have been training professionally since 2016 and have worked with a large variety of dogs from tea-cup to giants, and cases from extreme fear to unpredictable aggression.
Passionate. Patient. Consistent. Animal-lover. These are just a few of the characteristics that describe my style. I know each animal is different, and I’ll work with you and your dog to guide you to a more balanced lifestyle!
